Yes, you need to make an appointment to visit the Urgent Care Centre. The government levy of €75 will apply for attending.
What if my child’s illness/injury turns out to be more serious than first thought?
An assessment will be carried out and, if needed, the patient will be transferred to one of the three children’s hospitals (CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street or Tallaght).
Will ambulances arrive at CHI at Connolly in Blanchardstown?
No, ambulances are for emergencies only (life-threatening situations) and will continue to bring children to the appropriate Emergency Department at one of the children’s hospitals (CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street or Tallaght).
