Dr Beamish graduated from University College Dublin. She trained in Paediatrics in Dublin, Galway and Sligo, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Paediatrics in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She also undertook Fellowship training in Neonatology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
Her clinical interests are in Ambulatory Paediatrics, integration of primary and secondary paediatric care and development of clinical pathways for child health. Her professional interests include education and training for health care professionals, innovation in service development and change management.
