Important Message: Changes To Inpatient Billing
From Wednesday September 21st 2022, changes to inpatient billing, for all children under 16, will come into effect under the updated health act.

The key changes are detailed below.
- As of 21 September 2022, there will no longer be charges for children under 16 who are in-patient in Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street, Crumlin and Tallaght. We have no in-patient stays in Children’s Health Ireland at Connolly.
- This means that if a child is admitted into the hospital, to a ward, they/their family will not be charged for their stay, regardless of the length of stay.
- Charges in Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centre’s still apply (ED €100 UCC €75).
- This is an initiative of the government of Ireland.
