CHI Message to the public – re ransomware attack

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) have reviewed its situation resulting from HSE  having to shut down IT systems following a ransomware attack.

CHI IT systems are compromised but we are working to adjust using risk assessment and manual paper based processes. This morning we have allowed elective operations and face to face out patient clinics to commence but we expect delays.

Phone call appointments will continue. 

Virtual / online clinics, that is, non face to face, clinics are cancelled.

Emergency Departments / Urgent Care Centres are open. 

CHI are working with staff and families to provide services as best we can under the circumstances.

We are working closely with the HSE and we will reassess and provide  more updates mid morning.
