Healthy Living with CHI Child and Adolescent Complex Obesity Service

Available locations:

Healthy Living with CHI (formerly W82GO) was established in 2005 to address pediatric obesity. Our family-based service, delivered by a multidisciplinary team, offers holistic assessment and management for children and adolescents with obesity and related health issues (BMI > 99.6th percentile plus two health complications).

Our expert team includes professionals from paediatric endocrinology, nursing, dietetics, physiotherapy, psychology, medical social work, occupational therapy, and administrative support. We provide families with guidance on health, nutrition, self-esteem, family communication, physical fitness, and activity through education, goal setting, and support in a safe environment.

We focus on promoting a sensitive, respectful, and empowering atmosphere. Our evidence-based assessments identify strengths and form personalized treatment plans, screening for physical and emotional difficulties. We aim to empower families to achieve the healthiest lifestyle possible.

Treatment, based on the latest research, combines educational and practical training, and lasts approximately 12-24 months. Our goal is to help families create a health-promoting home environment, reduce further weight gain, and address associated health problems like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or painful joints.
