The Children’s Neurosurgery Centre (CNC) at CHI at Temple Street is a national centre for excellence that provides neurosurgical care to children aged 0-16 years old in Ireland.

The CNC works closely with other clinical specialities at CHI at Temple St, colleagues across CHI, Beaumont Hospital Neurovascular Services, and St Luke’s Hospital Radiotherapy Services, and the paediatric department at the National Rehabilitation Hospital to provide comprehensive care for patients.

The CNC is committed to building and strengthening networks across paediatric services nationally, in both acute and community settings, to improve the healthcare journey of each patient and their family.

Our services

  • We carry out approximately 800 neurosurgical admissions and over 550 neurosurgical procedures each year
  • We are one of the busiest paediatric neurosurgical centres in Ireland and the UK
  • We see over 1400 outpatient appointments each year

Conditions we treat

We treat all neurosurgical conditions in children 0-16yrs emergency and elective.
