St. Patrick's Ward

St Patrick’s Ward is a medical ward catering to babies and young children from 0 to 2 years of age.

Facilities

During your child’s stay with us you’ll have access to our:

  • playroom
  • hospital school
  • play specialist
  • social work team
  • hospital chapel
  • parent’s room

Meal times

Meals will be served at your child’s bedside for:

  • breakfast, at 8:30am
  • dinner, at 12:30pm
  • tea time, at 4:15pm
  • supper, at 8:30pm

Prescription diets, halal and vegetarian meals are available on request.

St. Patrick's Ward cares for babies and young children with general medical conditions, neurological (brain and nervous system) conditions, dermatological (skin) conditions, ENT (ear nose and throat) conditions and children with a tracheotomy. It is a 12 bedded medical unit.

Our ward has some cubicles, which we use for babies and young children with infectious conditions. Our highly qualified staff on the ward practice family-centred care and as a valued member of your child’s healthcare team, we encourage you to take part in all aspects of their care. We do our utmost to protect the privacy and dignity of your child at all times during their stay.
